Episode...... Nine?

Joan is thrilled that Janet and John are happy with the new apartment.

He shakes John's hand and give Janet a hug.....Joan and Janet have become quite close since she gave him a tour of the horrid apartment.

So long, my friends, says Joan......I like you very much.....you are a very nice couple........just be sure you leave by eleven on Sunday as we have guests booked in from 2pm......Joan looks very cheery.

John reminds Joan that we are booked with them until Monday and will be staying in the apartment until eleven on Monday.

Joan is suddenly the palest Spaniard in the city.......he no longer has a spring in his step as he leaves the apartment and staggers down the street.

Janet opens the wine.....

I almost feel sorry for Joan.
How many times have you moved now? I make it three. Is that correct?
Question Author
You are right to worry about Joan, Tilly.... ;-)

Two hours later Janet and John receive an email from Joan...
They need to leave the nice apartment on Sunday but he is happy for them to return to the horrid apartment for their last night.....

Janet learns some new words from John.....

However, if they don't wish to do that Joan will book them into an "hotel".......He will book Janet into the female dormitory and John into the mixed dormitory....

Janet sighs....

John grins.....

Janet wipes the grin from John's face.....opens the wine and composes a long and humorous email to Joan......
You are having a lovely holiday. :-(
You can't make it up gness, can you?.. Still, as long as you're keeping us all amused....x

Hotel. Female/!male dormitory? Heard that before, .
Is this really all true?? Lol
If you keep opening the bottles then that is half the problem solved in that you are pretty relaxed about the outcome. Have you thought of writing a book?
Question Author
Oh this is very much true.....and condensed or I'd be here all day........the oddest holiday ever...... :-)

Joan does not reply....Camille does.....Joan has taken unexpected leave......probably far, far away......

Camille tells Janet and John they must leave the apartment on Monday for sure!

Janet knows Camille has made a mistake and meant Sunday, not Monday but decides to tease her....

John opens the wine......he has experience of Janet's sense of humour and teasing.....

Janet thanks Camille very much for confirming they can stay til Monday....it means so very much to know they can settle in the nice apartment without the worry of being evicted on Sunday after all......

John is reluctant to admit that he was sort of looking forward to a night in a mixed dorm in a hostel......

John takes solace in wine......

See Janet smile........ :)
Not terribly relaxing, this holiday, All that packing of cases must be a trial.

.It sounds like a Shearings coach tour. 'Up at seven tomorrow, folks!'
Question Author
Janet is becoming expert at lightly packing the little case she is wheeling.......and loading heaving stuff into bags for the company rep to carry.......

John thinks the three bricks she put at the bottom of the bag for the last move was a little unfair......
WOuld those be 3 bricks from the partly demolished apartment?

BM thinks Janet and JOhn have done remarkably well not to t w a t Joan. BM knows she would be in a Spanish prison cell right now. Sans suitcase and sangria.
Question Author
Janet claims that the bricks are a keepsake......she will crochet around them to make doorstops......just to remember their holiday......

John thinks Janet is bewildered.......

Neither Janet nor John want to be locked away......they'd stocked up on wine on the way to the first apartment.....they do still have some bottles left.....not many but enough if nothing else goes wrong.....
How many days have you been there and how many bottles have you had?

What is the daily average?

Do you have paracetamol with you as well?
Question Author
Janet thinks they have been here six days...... John says it feels like sixty.......

They've had two visits to the bottle bank.......luckily the workmen at the first apartment had left a wheelbarrow lying around.......
There are seven bottles in the kitchen but the shop on the corner is open twenty four hours.....
Question Author
John has paracetemol....he was forewarned.....
How's the weather?
I should open another bottle, or, preferably, buy a box - lighter and you don't have to sort the bottles in the rubbish. The insides of wine-boxes make great deer-scarers by the way. You extract them and blow them up (quite fun) and attach to the lilac trees lining your drive.....done it, honest.!
Question Author
The weather is lovely........it's Carnival and Balearic Celebrations all week...parades and live music events and street entertainment......and we're seeing lots of the city constantly finding a different way home to a different apartment..... :-)
Question Author
We are two....or is it three.....floors up but if we are troubled with deer on the balcony I shall use your tip, J.....thank you....x
