Hoppy....I am getting a tad confused here !
I thought that David and Ruth didn't check that the new beasts were virus-free in the first place. If that is so, then IBR can remain dormant but still be able to pass on to other animals, which looks like what has happened here.
The virus could have spread by other means. But the fault would appear to be David and Ruths in the first instance, in not checking properly.

Thanks for posting, Hoppy. I'm grabbing at your post as the only way to get on here these days. Haven't heard today's episo0de, or yesterdays. The cows/Pip/Toby thing is not good. She was beginning to sound sensible. Keep posting guys - I don't know why I can't get a + on the media section, but I can't and I have asked the Ed. twice. :(
