I'm sure this has probably been asked many times before, but here goes................am I imagining it or are adverts, particularly on the Sky channels, louder than the progs?
Also, on the basis the beeb is not a commercial station, how the hell do they get away with interspersing their shows with god knows how many ads for their radio stations, magazines etc...the break between the progs is often longer than the breaks on commercial channels.

I agree about the BBC they tread a very thin line. I remember many years ago there was a fuss about it and the ruling was that they couldn't use moving images to advertise the Radio Times - Go figure
