The trouble with our newspapers is that they print exactly what they believe their readers want to hear. While keeping their fingers crossed that few will actually do a little research on the story to ascertain just how true it is. The OP obviously takes as gospel anything the Telegraph prints. Had she done a little research, she may well have come across the same BBC response as did ZM @ 10:59. Bit of a non-story, imho.

You can be as childish as you like. The fact is, the aBBC have been accepting these bribes for years. They also hid the fact they were receiving them for years. It took FOI requests to drag it out of them.
Obviously, if you're left wing or Remain or both, you aren't very bright and you're biased. If the aBBC had been giving Donald Trump glowing reports and you found out they were receiving £4,000,000pa in 'grants' from The Donald, you'd be squealing a very different tune,,,,,and you know you would.

It's not even that specific. It's more like..

Any media source that says things that match the opinions I already hold : Fine unbiased journalism.

Any media source that says things that don't match the opinions I already hold : Corrupt and biased journalism.

..and I'm not having a go at any individual here. This just seems to be how more and more people think these days.
