Gonna take some pushing.
From where?
Question Author
Radio 2 and Radio London. She's leaving her early shows on both at the same time.

BBC News - Vanessa Feltz leaving her BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London shows

But she's ghastly and who cares?
Bring back Bunty Bagshaw!
Question Author
I suspect she was told she was off R2 (they are making changes) had a tantrum and told the BBC to stuff it.
Radio 2 has never been the same since The Dark Lord departed :(
As opposed to Baggy Bunshaw
Question Author
The Dark Lord is on Greatest Hits Radio now.
Question Author
I'm with you on Bunty Bagshaw, though I expect most don't know who you are talking about.
I've never forgiven Vanessa for replacing her.
Thanks, Hoppy. I might catch him there.

A quick Google says he's on at 1am with the Best Time Of The Day Show, I think repeated at 4am.
^^^ Not quite, Hoppy. According to the station's website, he does some basic DJ-ing from 1am to 4am, presenting 10 tracks in a row, without any breaks. (I suspect that could all be recorded in advance, as he won't have much to do if there's almost continuous music playing). Then he presents The Best Time of the Day Show, presumably live, from 4am to 6am.
Many late-night and overnight radio shows are pre-recorded, such Radio 3's excellent Night Tracks (11:00 to 12:30am, Mon - Wed), and also Through The Night (00:30 to 6:30)
^^^ The great thing about Alex Lester's show, in his Radio 2 days, GG, was that it was largely built on listener-interaction (which simply can't be done with recorded programming).

For example, he suggested that Father Christmas had been wearing the same old red uniform for far too long and invited his listeners to suggest ways to modernise his outfit. I emailed the show, suggesting that Santa's clothing should be modelled upon that worn by Formula 1 drivers as
(a) it's trendy, with replica items selling for a fortune ;
(b) there's plenty of room for advertisements, so Santa could make some money through sponsorship ; and
(c) it's flameproof, which could be handy if Santa went down a chimney where a fire was still burning in the grate.
The Dark Lord then spent quite some time developing my theme further ;-)

You must have been thrilled Chris. I would love to have heard that.
