What do I listen to? Well, I suspect it's probably different to your tastes but, since you asked, here goes:

Throughout most of the night (I'm an insomniac): BBC World Service. Why? Because I can't stand music when I'm half awake and half sleepng. I want to listen to intelligent speech radio. If I can't get to sleep, I might as well learn something about world affairs.

The radio alarm is set to Radio 2. Why? Because I like to wake up to something which is lively, intelligent and not too jarring.

Throughout much of the day (and certainly for much of the evening): BBC 7. Why? Classic comedy, intelligent drama and total escapism.

Intermittently during the day (particularly at 1300 and/or 1800): Radio 4. Why? For quality news programming.

What else do I listen to? RTE 1 (the Irish have a unique approach to speech radio), Arrow (the Dutch station on 675kHz which carries a good mix of current music and golden oldies - It can be heard across most of the UK), 5 Live Sports Extra (when there's cricket on) and the BBC Asian Network (because I like to be adventurous!).

hi chris thanks for your answer, intresting choice. im a radio addict myself hence the name, but here in scotland the radio stations are dominated by local radio playing more adverts than quality articles. its good to know theres more of a choice. as i seem to listen to the same. i'll be searching for more informative stations. cheers!

Radio 1 but only in the mornings when my alarm clock goes off and in the car on the way to and from work. Hate it at weekends and in the evening.

Radio 2 all the time. Like yourself radiogaga I also live in Scotland and find the adverts boring.

I'm like Chris in some ways, I have World Service on at whisper level throughout the night. On the bus to work I normally have Today on Radio 4 or occasionally Wogan, it depends how awake I am feeling. Lunchtime is Radio 4 or if it's a late lunch then 2 - I can't stand Jeremy Vine because he has people ringing up with their views on things - what was the old Chris Morris Day Today quote? "Public opinions have been described as rabid, and stultifyingly ill informed." Early evening I have Radio 6 for a bit of nice rock and Indie music. Then either Marc Riley od Mark Radcliffe.
Weekends start with Fi Glover, then Jonathon Ross and the comedy shows afterwards.
On sunday I catch the repeat of Sorry I Havn't a Clue at 12.

Other than that I tend to change station every few minutes sometimes as I've just bought a DAB walkman.
Yes I like the radio a lot... so to sum up my main stations are 2, 4, 6, WS, 7 in that order.

Alarm clock set to R3 (can't face Sarah Kennedy/John Humphries/Chris Moyles that early in the morning). R4 while I'm shaving, R2 in the car to work. R4 during the day if I get the chance (LW whenever the cricket's on). R4 at 6.30, then BBC7.
At weekends mostly R2/R1/6music.

Love Sarah Kennedy, particularly the newspaper review.

CANNOT listen to Wogan. All he does is read out e mails and insult everyone. I think he is lazy, with nothing prepared.

Chris Evans is puerile, and I am over the moon when Stuart Maconie sits in for him. I cannot listen to Evans.

I love Stuart Maconie's Saturday show, particularly the Betamax Challenge with questions from the 70's and 80's.
He prepares his shows well and deserves a daily show.at peak time.

Only ever radio 4. I listen to the Today programme when I'm out walking the dog in the early hours of the morning and I'm an Archers addict. I also like the plays and a number of the documentary programmes.
When I'm in the car with my husband I have to listen to Classic FM, because that's what he likes - but I have to be honest and admit I don't really like listening to any music very much, it simply doesn't 'do' it for me like the spoken word does.

I listen to LBC (although I do turn over when Iain Lee's on!!!), Radio 4, Oneword, BBC7, Virgin Classic Rock, Planet Rock and Classic FM.
Don't know what I'd do without my DAB. So much better than most of the rubbish on TV!

Mostly virgin I guess, a bit of radio 2 in the morning. I can't stand adverts though so am constantly chopping channels so there is always a song on! I like the old radio!
