Watching a programme the other night and the word "Viral" kept cropping up. It appears something to do with video clips. Can someone please enlighten me?

Its a video clip emailed (or link emailed) to one person who sends it to two people who send it to four and so on. Its called a viral as it spreads like a (friendly) "virus" around the 'net.
Usually it's to do with the way it is passed around, so you get viral emails, advertising campaigns etc.

Someone watches it then forwards it to their friends, who forward to their friends, etc. etc.
