i have shoulder length hair, need new ideas on how to style it.  getting bored with brushing it out and ponytails.  any ideas

Do NOT get a mullet, you will regret it. Try wearin it down or up with a quiff?

try heated rollers they're wonderful, i only wish i had discovered them years ago.

i have some charles worthington ones from boots (reasonable priced), put them in wherever, leave for as little as 2 minutes, absolutelt fabulous.

i have shoulder length straight hair but its pretty thin, so i use then to give my hair some body, or to flip it out or curl it under or use the small rollers for a really good loose curl.
