Ok, so I'm going on my holiday and I'm due to come 'on' halfway through. I know you can get pills to stop it from the doctor, but I'm on the contraceptive Pill as well so would this be any good? Otherwise, is there any way I could keep taking my Pill to delay my period for about 3 days, or would this totally mess up the system? lol thanks for any advice x

Are you on the combined pill or mini pill? If you're on the combined pill you can usually take two packs back to back to halt your period for an extra 3 weeks with no harm done  - best to check the leaflet inside the packet though or check with your doctor if you're unsure. I'm on Microgynon and have done this many times to delay my period.

Yep it's microgynon I'm on. Well I'll check the packet but what's the worst that can happen? lol
Hi i'm on microgynon and have taken it as suggested by Sasha13 lots of times with no ill effect.

If you're on Microgynon you should be fine - I've done this loads of times, and people with endometriosis are told to take the pill continuously (sp?) for up to a year to relieve their symtoms. Make sure you take all of the second packet though rather than three days worth to cover yourself. Good luck, and hope you have a great holiday - by the way, where are you going??

Going to Florence, Italy, should be good! College trip though, which means 24 hours on a packed bus both ways! Kinda why I don't want my period, in those conditions it just wouldn't be good!
I can fully sympathise with that!! Just don't have a break between two packets, that'll sort you out - still check the leaflet though in case we're on different types of pills! Have a great time x

Oh you're all making me jealous now; I remember being able to mess about with the pill so that you didn't get your period when you had to go somewhere. Now I'm not on it any more there's nothing I can do and as you know, it's horrible if you've got a 'do' coming up and you can't put off your period. My husband couldn't stand me on the pill though: he was scared and I did have terrible tantrums. I know it's supposed to make you better rather than worse, but it had the opposite effect with me. I guess I was just on the wrong one, but it suited me in every other way. Anyway, no need to keep taking drugs now when he's been 'done'!

Have a lovely holiday, Bexxybex123!

I always take 3 months of the pill without a break (I'm on Femodene) as I just hate the hassle!
