When a customer left his mobile phone in a shop, the assistant scrolled through his saved numbers.
When they found ”Mum” they stopped and pushed the dial button.
His mother answered, and they told her what happened.
"Don't worry," she said, "I'll take care of it."
A few minutes later, the mobile phone rang. It was "Mum."
"Melvin," she said, "you left your mobile phone at the shop."
A neglected grandmother was heading out of the door to go to church one Sunday when she got a call from her daughter.
She requested, "'Would Grandma like to have her three little grandchildren visit while her daughter and son-in-law took a five-day romantic holiday trip?"
Grandma was so delighted she put five pounds of her pension money into the collection at the church and thanked the Lord for this great opportunity.
The Sunday after the grandchildren were sent back to their home to her daughter, she put twenty pounds in the church's collection from her meagre pension.
"Thank you Lord for sending them back."
Six-year old Angie and her four-year old brother, Joel, were sitting together in church, at a wedding.
Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud.
Finally, his big sister had had enough. "You're not supposed to talk out loud in church."
"Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers."
