Just got in, and the living room is invaded by boys (himself, boy #1 and (!) boy #2 watching the football on my Telly! Grrr, apparently they can't watch it on the other one (for some reason). And why is 10 year old boy #2 still up?

Aww, let them be, its only once in a while, and if your lucky they should sleep late tomorrow and you will get a lay in. X

I need them on top form, off on holiday on Monday. V surprised that boy #2 is still up but I suppose it a man thing. (Bit peed off that they've taken over 'my' telly)
not a happy mummy then
It's Sunday tomorrow
They can lie in then
Question Author
A bit miffed, but it's a one off. The boys are on a warning to be 'nice' tomorrow.
turn the telly off and send them to bed, it's only a game of football.
Question Author
They've gone to bed now (which means I can).
Bless em, sad faces no doubt.
No pizza and beer for the boys then, sherr ;-)
the local pub has gone quiet, either the big screen has broken or England came second.
yeah the kids should be out on the streets at this time,
knocking strangers on the head...

no wonder you think yours are mutants....
Sounds like they were having a nice time Sher, join in with it, even if football doesn't interest you. I'm not mad keen on football, too many diving, howling fairy princesses for my taste, but brothers, Mum and granddad are and it's nice to have a thing everyone does together no matter how old or young ( oldest one in our house last night was my Nanna who is in her 70's and the youngest ones my twin brothers, 5 this year).
I spent an hour yesterday helping 5 year old grandson stick panini stickers in world cup book. My daughter later whispered although her husband bought book for him, really it was more for himself!
the 'boys' bonding watching football............just as it should be :)
Young boys in 'being allowed up late to watch England game' shocker

For Funks Sake it's a one-off, the other England games are earlier kick-offs, plus there was no school the next day so easy to catch up on sleep by lying-in

I had no qualms about letting my 11yo son stay up for the game

You mean you didn't let him stay up for the Japan game, joeluke?
Question Author
I don't mind them staying up for the game, I mind them taking over my tv because they can't get theirs to show the game for some reason.
We don't have personal TVs in our hous

That's your house - we have one in the living room, one in each of the kids' rooms and one in the back room (where the kids hang out in the evening) - no idea how big they are.
