Whats the message ☺☺☺
give us a clue ?
No. The rest of us don't have malware.
Is the message warning you about malware or is it prompting you to pay for Malwarebytes?
I get the same message every day, asking me to download the chargeable version of Malwarebytes. I click on the off button but its still keeps coming up, eventually giving up.

Until the next time I switch the PC on ! Its a minor irritation, that's all.

thanks mikey, must be just the 2 of us then
Its strange that everybody recommends Malwarebytes but few seem to use it !

Stay with it though Piggy.....it does the job very well, and no, you don't need by buy the full version.

I do a Malwarebytes Scan at least once a week, free updatable version, don't get any Pop-ups from them, no problems at all.

What's the difference?

If there's a paid version then surely there's a market for it as a company as big as mwb couldn't have got that big by giving away freebies. So what does the unpaid version lack compared to the full paid version?
Lunol

The paid for version runs all the time and starts up with Windows. The free version is an 'on demand' service which you have start up yourself.

I generally run a manual scan about every fortnight.
Is that so SlackAlice?

Well that sounds like a no brainer as I like to think of security as security that runs and protects you at all times to stop being infiltrated and not something you have to turn on and off and then find out you have been infiltrated and now have to remove the threat.

Does that not seem more logical?
Sounds like you have it running permanently. I have AV running permanently but scans as and when needed/desired.
... but malware scans ...

Same as OG (shudder!) McAfee runs all the time, Malwarebytes is just for those stubborn hard to get at little beggers, should they slip through the net.
Mikey,
I think you need to uninstall malwarebytes and reinstall the free version and not the 'on approval' version. Then you'd stop getting the messages. Unless they've changed it ...
Yes it sounds like it's a trial that's expired. As Ichkeria says if you uninstall and reinstall the free download, being sure to untick the 'run trial pro version' (or similiar) when it's installing it should get rid of the pop up.
