......in the opening clips showed pictures of shops that are closed and shuttered, about an item re high street closures. The clips were of Middleton, Manchester, where I live but they were mis-leading because the second clip they showed had a row of shops that have been closed for years before this Covid came along. I know, they were probably just emphasising the problem with library footage. So what? So there.

they have got to cover the country. Will pick out any area that has shops closed, they should come here, all our shops are shut, though that's through this pandemic.

Closures aren't confined to specific areas. Shops right across the country are closed. Any picture of a closed shop will convey the message.

Although COVID has brought about some shop closures the trend to online shopping had already taken hold and will continue its relentless progress.

Also "shops are closed" conveys the message just as well. I dont understand the tv news obsession of also having to have their reporter by whatever the story is
