50 Years Ago When Harold Wilson Was In...

I know we've aired this one before, but this morning I excelled. I caught an early bus into town (bus pass valid all day on Saturdays) to do some shopping at Hobbycraft. Arriving before they opened I popped into local café for breakfast. I then called at newsagent for a newspaper before returning to the bus station and got a bus home (realising my mistake halfway, but couldn't be bothered to change).
Grrrrrr..

At the moment my left hand has the following written on it:
Mo Food, Wake *partners name* at 12:00, camp power cable, chem toilet, car blind, EON!.
My right hand has a smiley face drawn on it, so that it doesn't feel left out.
So, me saying "however it's the only way to be 100% sure I won't forget" clearly isn't the case.
I forgot to wake my partner up at 12:00. So, that's my new answer; claiming that my method of remembering always works and then managing to still forget and be 20 minutes late waking up my partner - that's my 'recent daft thing'.
My sight has got much worse recently but I can't blame I on that. I was making a chicken casserole thing and thought I'd liberally sprinkle in some new chicken seasoning - paprika and lemon - except that in my haste I'd picked up powdered chilli.
Ouch - I managed to quieten it down with Boursin cubes. It was quite nice in the end.
