🤣😂😃🙂😐😮!

For £165 he should be turning up to you.

That's really very expensive, abbey.

Can you afford that much on your meagre earnings?  Stay natural!

That's expensive. Mine comes to the house. Colour, cut and blow dry £75

Goodness, I would be putting any hair dresser visits on hold whilst the they cost more than I get in a week.

Shakes head in utter disbelief....

No wonder there's so many lady's hairdressers around - money for old rope.

Go on line and see if you can find a mobile hairdresser local to you. Surely you can't afford to pay those sort of prices.

Mobile hair it's to much hassle.

You can put off a hair cut and get a root fixer from boots.

Didl I can my hair goes dry

Have a look around and see what other hairdressers charge.

If your hair goes dry, use a deep conditioner.

Seriously, on 10 hours a week, how on earth can you afford it + nights out, clothes, tans, nails?

I'm reeling from the costs!  My hairdresser is, I feel, expensive, but she is extremely good and my last one (with whom I am comparing her costs) retired.  Last one charged £24 for a cut and blow-dry.

This one is a better cutter and town centre (so easy to reach)and charges £40.  She also did me excellent highlights once last year  (I don't normally bother) which took 3 hours - and charged me £65.

Granted that I have shorter hair than you - but long hair would only have been about £80.

You are paying well over the odds i.m.o..  How can you possibly afford it?  My advice is to look around carefully.  Check local salons for price - andwhile you are there, look at the results they are getting.  Ask friends - although yours seem to spend money like water - and almost any woman you know whose hair looks well-kept.

Yes, change your hairdresser - but look around first.  You can temporarily put in a blonde rinse to deal with the roots.

i thought Mollykins was funny but these threads are hilarious

Abbey, did you mean to give details of the other one you are looking at? Your post just tailed off, after you'd given the (very expensive!) prices of your current hairdresser.

PS Have you checked on Groupon, Itison etc? There are often good introductory offers there.

yes you should. £165 is too expensive for someone working 10 hrs a week on minimum wage.  You do not "need" a haircut - your hair is long enough to put up.  You can buy dye from boots at £5 and do it yourself.

i dont understand why it's too much of a faff to get someoen to come to you, when you have to take 2 busses to get to the current one
