Yes we can see where the country is heading cant we.  I guess Sir Free Gear is admitting the indigeonous wont be the majority soon?

On a wider note, why should the PM be holding an event  to celebrate Diwali?

Maybe many Hindu plus one guests weren't Hindu themselves, and meat & wine was for them under the aim of inclusion ? It's important to cater for the norm.

Who knows what goes through politicians' minds, Judge. More inclusion no doubt. To be on good terms, or otherwise, with all equally, perhaps.

So if it had been a do celebrating world vegan day (or whatever), having Scotch eggs and salmon mousse would have been okay?

World vegan day, jesus what next. Greggs day. :•)

Question Author

Greggs Day for some people every day, bargain prices and so tasty.

NJ, from the link;

Downing Street first began hosting events to celebrate Diwali in 2009 under the then Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

The tradition has continued under successive Prime Ministers, including Rishi Sunak, who in 2022 became the UK's first Hindu Prime Minister."

Whoever organised the event should be hung, drawn and quartered.  They should have done some research before planning the event.

As drmorgans says - would there be sausage rolls if it was World Vegan Day?

Question Author

Not sure about the Hindus (or Sikhs and Jains) but vegans definitely don't go in for hanging, drawing and quartering, no matter the offence.

this is just more watering down of british culture with affirmation from the labour party, embrace multiculturism, take your medicine or the matron will force it down your neck, the judiciary and police have taken the medicine, reminds me of the body snatcher film..

16.07 There may well be sausage rolls at a vegan bash. I pretty sure they make vegan sausage rolls. <:▪︎)

You can't have vegan pork pies.
