I Hate Big Brother
13 Answers
I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than watch Big Brother and AB seems to be drowning in 'Who are you going to vote for?' type questions. I feel all alone in my loathing.
Channel 4 are laughing all the way to the bank. Big Brother and it's ilk are cheap TV requiring little to no creativity on the part of the station. The high ratings mean Channel 4 can charge more for advertising time and they make a fortune from the saps that call in. The more money they make from it the more of this kind of garbage they'll make. And the great British public contiue to lap it up.
Is there anyone else out there that feels the same?
Any other reasons to hate it?

I personally wouldn't watch BB ever, Celebrity (!!!???) or ordinary, and yet I can't escape it at work because of the morons that watch it, and nor can I escape it here because it seems like every other question.
Maybe I'm wrong, but with the ordinary BB last year, I thought it had a section all to itself - I just wish they'd do the same now so people like me could ignore it.

Big Brother has never been of interest to me until recently with the news and papers full of it so I decided to watch. I saw one loud mouth (who is unfortunately British) and thought she should be gagged. I saw someone who was Indian sitting with a face full of "woe is me, oh pity me" milking the camera for all she was worth and thought she would make a splendid actress. Then reading up I realised that one was a film star and she really wound me up with her manner - she knew exactly what she was up to, but this Jade should have thought and not spoken. Looking at the interview and the body language and no eye contact then this Jade I think had been forewarned and was trying to excuse herself and not achieving it. I don't condone what she obviously did (following flashbacks) but I think this film star is a very clever person who saw a weak link and milked it to get publicity. As to BB to allow the show to remain on the air was out of greed in getting viewers at the BB house occupants long term cost. The only one who will gain out of this is that actress and I think she changed boats modstream in recognising an opportunity at the cost of someone elses misfortune. Jade made the mistake of falling into the trap. She should have thought and simply kept her trap shut maybe?
Big Brother makes me feel greatful that I am who I am, not that Im being big headed in any way - they put such ar*eholes on there, incl people who are apparently celebrities - the same as a lot of these reality programmes where they learn to dance and ice skate and sing - I cant believe the TV licence fee has gone up and all we'll have to show for it is watching people you would avoid in the street making fools of themselves on TV - it makes me soooo mad!!!!! God, society is twisted. I just find it really difficult to understand how people enjoy watching things like this. Does anybody actually believe that its entertainment?
