how does a card confirm it?
could it just be someone who sounds like him?
i have had a couple of experiences of mistaken phone identity.
a woman arguing with me that was norma, (her daughter in law) and why was i being weird with her - (i am not norma)
one of my friends called me upset that i had been weird with her on the phone - she had called someone elses number and thought it was me denying it and that i must be mad at her.
many of my sisters friends launch into a conversation with me on the phone, thinking i am her, and vice versa.
so really, a few years - you could be mistaken...?
i also think you are reading too much into it - a stalker??
bit over the top
he may well have been testing a number, or calling someone else with the same name - that has happened to me and been done by me.
if it was him and he realised it was you, his reaction says it all - anyone else would have said ''oops sorry its me, rang wrong number...'' etc - his long pause and blase ''sorry wrong number'' shows he did not want to speak to you and hadn't intended to call you, and was shocked when he realised it was you - probably debated whteher to put the phone down or speak
either way unless it happens again - forget it.
