Probably because at one stage, Jim was considered a huge talent, and bizarrely still has a huge fanbase. Marco keeps saying that he finds him really funny - he possibly does, they're the same generation.

Perhaps they are kindred spirits who are alike in that they don't like being told what to think and say just because its fashionable. Is JD any more reprehensible than the guy who wears "gay" like a badge, gets upset when he thinks people are not saying they like him and feels he can slag off JD for his views. What gives him the right to hate people when nobody else is allowed to do so?

I'm beginning to think MPW holds very similar views to Jim - hence his constant support of him. I am appalled by JIm Davidson's various comments over the last week or so. Jade Goody vas vilified for her comments in the BIg Brother house yet here we have an old washed up has been using the most offensive, rude language and nobody seems to be bringing him to task. He can;t hack the younger and more popular people being more popular than him - he ought to remember that Brian won BB - he's a popular guy!
