X factor - Kimberley

After watching the X factor repeats today on ITV1, I can't help but think that kimberley was set up. She was the only contestant to be made up like a complete and utter tart with an absolutely horrific song. I for one thought she had a fantastic voice throughout the auditions and feel that she was cheated of a place in next weeks show. I dont think I will be tuning in in future as it will be probably be won by the god awful 'same difference' or one of the manufactured bands. How predictable!!!!!!!!!!

D'oh! I was gonna watch the results later.....on sky+!! lol Never mind, I do agree though she was trussed up a bit. Her hair looked cool though! Hahaha what did they do to Rhydians hair though? Was he genuinly upset when he ran off the stage or did he just leave prematurely?

I don't think she was dressed that way in order to get voted off, although I think probably a lot goes on that we do't know about and perhaps it is fixed in some way.

I mentioned to my husband how similar Kimberley's look was to Kelly Osbourne's, and I can't imagine Sharon encouraging a look that she approves of in order to give a negative opinion of Kimberly.

Yeah - but I think that Sharon was genuinely p'eed off cos the comments made about her 2 acts definitately influenced the phone votes.
Its dog eat dog and I think 2 of the other 3 judges shafted her acts (not literally lol) by by their remarks.

Seemed to me like the Judges were out to get each other, through the contestants. It used to be just Louis and Simon, but I notice Sharon and Danii at it this time!

dont u think the judges always pick crap songs? they're always kaeoke like songs, the only one who sung a son that made her sound good was nicola, its all about the judges and its getting boring now, which is diappointing cos i loved watching it, but its the same old stories and same old set ups!!

jrobinson, I totally agree. There is something about them that makes me feel uncomfortable. Maybe I'm not used to seeing "unbelievably happy" people, but personally I think they come across as incestuous and it makes me feel weird watching them. If they weren't brother and sister I could understand Simon's point about having High School Musical thing going on.

Also, the songs did all seem karaoke - I will survive, the weather girls, nothing compares 2 u.... just needed a rendition of High ho, silver lining by a fat drunk who forgets the words and we'd have been sorted :-)

I actually loved same difference. And as for your comments about phone votes!! Are there people still stupid enough to phone in on ITV shows?
Seriously though i was rooting for Kim to stay in (not just because she's from the midlands =]) i thought she was the better performer, her voice was way better and she sang her song really well
And as for the whole farce with shron 'quitting'! Shes supposed to be a mentor to those girls, she should have been on that stage supporting them, instead of storming off. Never mind any of the acts, Sharon Osbourne is the one i can't stand

I totally disagree with the judges having the final vote. It should be done on phone votes, people ring to cast the votes for the ones they want to stay in and it should be - the contestant that gets the lowest vote leaves. Does anyone else agree?

Yes yes yes I agree -this seems to be the latest -the bottom 2 playing off against each other -notice Strictly Come Dancing are doing this now and some other show which escapes me did that as well .

I am sooo glad that someone else finds the relationship between Same Difference -albeit a staged one- seems unnatural.They give me the creeps.

When are the contestants goning to stand up for themselves ie, Kimberley and say "The song is leaving me wide open to Karaoke comments, my face, although not classically pretty looks fat, white and tarty in this make up, my hair looks parched and colour drained and as for the dress, well my waist is probably my largest area and I have slim legs, so lets drop the 'curvaceous' pulled in style, that does nothing for me!!"
I think she was cheated. Her voice, especially during auditions was strong, clear and tuneful. The song did nothing for her and never will for any other singer other than Gloria Gaynor. Similarly with "Dreams" which Alysha sang...great by the original artiste but no one else could ever sing it as effectively.

I think that she was at a disadvantage because of being first on the show!

My TV guide said that x factor started at 5.45, so when i put the TV on just before this, I caught the tail end of her performance, as it really started at 5.30.

Anyone going by the incorrect time in the TV guide would have missed her performance which would have put her at a disadvantage

i agree, whats the point in having phone votes if at the end of it the judges make the final decision anyway! just another phone con for cowell and his cronies to make money

Girl group 'Hope' will win the X-Factor.

Its Simon's show and Simon's group.. No group has won it yet and with rumours of Girls Aloud splitting up in the near future who better to take their place.?

No matter how many votes the other acts get they will be the eventual winners

i think this will be a fix and either the boy or girl band I hate myself for still watching as I dont think the final 12 are the best although the incest twins and the panto villan opera singer will make it worth watching.

I thought that the young black girl was worst act on saturday- by the way did Nicky's dad die - she should have mentioned it!
