Yes gen 2, I know that orange is an anagram of 'or gean'.

But that was not what was typed in the question.

Unfortunately my crystal ball is away for polishing at the moment.

I assumed a typo

the wordplay was interpreted as follows:

fruit,(what we are looking for)
port = Jaffa
maybe = anagram indicator
'or gern' = what has to be anagrammed - presumably intended to give 'orange'
