Do you think this is possible? or are you going to be rooting for someone else?
Is anyone else here looking forward to the first of the live shows. 2 hours is a long time, but for all 12 acts to sing and be judged I suppose it is necessary.

I think a girl band should win.

Not because they're best, but just because they are the most marketable commodity.

At the end of the day, the programme is looking for potential stars. That comes down to marketability more than just pure singing talent.

Exactly Jayne....it's just about money really isn't it? who can make the most.

An individal performer has to be really good (Leona Lewis) to be successful.

A solo artist who is not actually all that good (Leon) can win the programme, but won't make it as a recording artist.

Whereas a band with the right image, even with not much talent (Spice Girls) can still be popular.

I picked out Alexandra from the first autitions for her voice and her looks - I shall be disappointed if she doesn't win.

None of the boys have the necessary to make it.

Of the groups, maybe Bad Lashes.

We shall see.

Covers sell CDs just as much as radio play. The person/group needs to look right.

Robbie Williams is not that good looking, but he has a way of making himself ollk sexy and smouldering. You'd buy his CD just to sit in bed with the cover.

Leon, unfortunately, will never have that sort of appeal. Plus, he's got a slightly daft name for a pop star.
