Sime Friendly Format 80e combi boiler is dead?
2 Answers
This boiler is several years old, but while it's worked fine until today and I've checked the fuse and topped up the water, it's just... dead!
I get no hot water and the clock no longer goes round. When I turn the hot water tap on, or set the boiler to on permanently, I get a click and nothing else, so it's like the click should set it all in motion.
I can't hear any pilot light either, so I presume that's off. God knows what it is, as I'm useless at this sort of thing, but please can someone help!
Haven't got the manual but I saw the knob to try and trigger the pilot light but to no avail. There's also a sort-of black handle underneath it but I've no idea what that does so haven't touched it yet.
Thanks in advance.

Turned out the initial thing was an internal fuse that had gone, which apparently is quite rare, then on the invoice they left me they put "Determine fault on circuit board. Check and free components as requiired - pump, exhaust fan, air pressure switch" and in the 'chargeable parts section' put "change over valve and gas valve".
I don't understand any of it but it came to just over 100 inc. labour and I now have hot water. Sadly it wasn't a fault where I could just close my eyes and hope for the best :)
