Just had a strange thought (after listening to Stephen Baldwin preaching on CBB).
If "God" is omnipotent and will always be around, then his "son" Jesus must be like Prince Charles - in line for the top job but wondering if he'll ever get it.

No one has answered this yet, so I will. You're obviously talking from a Christian viewpoint, rather than a Jewish or Muslim one, in which case Jesus already has the top job because he is God.

Thanks naomi, I didn't know that.
I was always taught that Jesus was God's son, as in "he sent his only son to earth" etc, so now I'm confused. But then religion always does that to me.

You're welcome. It is confusing. From a Jewish viewpoint he was just a man, to the Muslims he was a prophet, and to the Christians he was the son of God, although several hundred years after the event it was decided that he, along with the father (aka God), and the Holy Spirit (all three united known as the Holy Trinity) were one - God.
