Peter Falk died yesterday aged 83 !
Columbo is no more.
I did watch some of the series but was never a huge Fan, but there will be many who will mourn his passing.
He had suffered from dementia for some time.

I liked Peter Falk as Columbo, I don't know his work elsewhere but a sad day (for I didn't know he' gone)

Peter Falk rip. Can anyone tell me the name of this Peter Falk movie- saw it on a plane from the US once and at a certain point in the movie an air hostess came down the aisle with tissues-she said people always cried at that point in the film ! Falk played a baker who would not move out of the tenement he lived in when everyone else had been rehoused, he brought up his grandson on his own and he taught the boy's foreign student pals to play poker and always referred to them as "the communists"at the end it was role reversal with the grandson looking after him in old age, would love to watch again but never did find out the title.

Sorry to hear that, but did not really know him. No more Columbo as it is Falk off then?

Quassia it was a lovely film, but the hostess waliking down the aisle dishing out the tissues to passengers with tears got me, she said it happens every showing of course now you watch individual screens.
Thanks for naming the film for me, he was really good in the part made a change for the usual Colombo.

He also had a Glass eye as his right eye was surgically removed at the age of 3 due to a malignancy......just a bit of Trivia !!
