I am watching QI at the moment. Does anyone else think SF is starting to put the weight back on?

I haven't watched the TV in ages - I don't know why but he always comes across as a smug git and a little creepy.
I was thinking that too when he was on Wossy at the weekend. I'm loving the purple suit though :)

I think you are all being very harsh on SF. If you read his autobiographies, especially volume 1, you will understand that he does realise the image he presents.
I like him...
If he realises the image he presents and how it irritates people, why doesn't he try to change it, especially as he is a so-called entertainer. If you want to entertain, you have to work at being likeable.
I like him...
After Sir Peter Ustinov my fav tv personality.Forgive and forget peoples peccadilloes has always been my motto.Let he/her without sin etc.....
I like him too, why do some people have to resort to insults and name calling just because they don't like someone, just don't watch him.
I like Stephen Fry .Loved him in Kingdom .
He's rather cuddly .
> Self-confessed thief and conman

That's correct - he spent a few months locked up, IIRC from his autobiography. Credit card fraud, wasn't it? Not exactly murder, like Leslie Grantham...

> can't understand why some people treat him like a hero

I don't know anyone who treats him like a hero.
He seems to love the richness of the English language. That in itself would make him likable.
Don't you think he really should have grown out of "the cleverest boy in the sixth form" humour by now?
I like him
vallaw, he is what he is, if you don't like it don't watch him, simple.
