Masterchef

Why is it that Masterchef has been put in an afternoon slot? At first it was on in the early evening, the next series was on at 8/8.30 and now its on at 2.15 pm.

The BBC are saying that the viewing figures are down. Oh my, what a surprise! Most of the people who used to watch it are probably out at work - have they not realised that? I know people watch it on iplayer, but not everyone is inclined to do that. Come on BBC, if you put it on in the evening, viewing figures must go up!

I would hate to see this show disappear from our tellys!

Wow what a quick answer Phil! Viewing figures down from 4.6m last series, to 1.04m this. Just proves my point and as you say, if it ain't broke don't fix it!!

Was reading the article yesterday Tizz.

In all probability it's down to some dingbat with 'new ideas', trying to justify their existence and salary and getting it wrong.

Nothing new with the BBC!

Thank you all for your replies. I have now written to the Beeb to complain (not that it will do any good!)

Phil - you're probably right and notas - I'm home all day and like you, I never watch daytime TV, apart from the last couple of weeks for Masterchef! But I really don't like it being on at the time it is now.
