Corrie's Brian

I may be wrong but I thought Brian came in to Corrie when he was working with John Stape when he was pretending to be Colin Fishwick.

If so why is Brian now the Head of a Primary school when John/Colin clearly worked with Seniors?

I thought teachers specialised in either junior or senior teaching.

Probably got it totally wrong, hope you Guys can put me right.

Brian was head of English Dept in Secondary School during the John Stape Colin Fishwick fiasco, he then went on to do temporary work in the primary school and eventually became headmaster, in other words he changed jobs.

I'm not a employment expert but I always thought teachers had to specialise in either Primary or Senior school teaching not able to chop and change (again I could be wrong) but I suppose thats the 'Soap' poetic licence!!

I think secondary teachers can become primary teachers but not the other way round. Might not be right though. I have known several secondary teachers who have changed to primary school teachers and one who became a primary headmaster.

I realise you're probably joking Sandy, but just in case you aren't, this is a different Brian. The Brian who ran the garage died after a stabbing incident yeras and years ago.

My wife is a retired teacher. She was trained in Secondary education teaching A and O level History and, after 15 years' left the profession. She then went back and went into Primary education, without having to be retrained. Later she went into Infant education, again without being retrained So it is possible to do it. However we both laughed at Brian becoming the Head of a Primary school after working as a Secondary school teacher. We think the other Primary school teachers would have a point of view about his appointment.

I thought Brian Tilsley as well. He had a lot of chest hair and a Desperate Dan chin did he not. And was the only one of Gail's husbands to be a) her age and b) not a psychopath. Why do I know this stuff?

Yes thought it might be possible especially with the help of poetic licence but like SuperMike says it is laughable!
