Can anyone explain the second part of Silent Witness to me? It seemed really muddled at the end - I didn't understand all the swab bit for starters!

The pathologist wanted to get his own back on the Scottish guy (after the first death/stabbling of the woman who looked under the bed). He therefore took the body of the other woman (the one with Oz on her arm) and left samples of her DNA aroung several other murders, making Scottish man think they were all connected by someone they named the Wraith. The swabs all went through the lab where the pathologist worked, so he just kept returning results saying that all the murders were linked.
I think.
Basically what Boxy says..

The bloke who ran the lab (ex pathologist) had a grudge against the copper because he blamed him for the murder of his then GF. He kept the body of the original murder victim (Oz on her arm) and contaminated crime scenes and swabs with her DNA to send the copper on a wild goose chase for years!
I came to that conclusion too, rather convoluted storyline imho. Hope it gets better next week.

I usually like this programme, but got so mixed up in the first 10 mins last night turned it off.

Mrs owd is right,owdhammer.
Great stuff but what was it all about! I usually enjoy this show but this was too confusing thought I was being thick until others agreed it was muddled. I want a story with a beginning a middle and an end.
