Is ITV struggling for programmes? Just turned on and find The French Open is on both ITV and ITV4, 9.30 to 6 and 9.30 to 8 respectively. What's the point in taking up two channels with the same programme?

TBH I appear to have simply stopped watching live TV, apart from maybe a bit of news. I am either recording and watching at a later time - so I can fast-forward the adverts - or watching on iplayer-type-thingies.
If I'm a typical TV watcher then the companies are screwed.
Both channels are showing different games
Not the same programme, different courts!
Because they're showing more than one match at the same time, or at least they were yesterday, just like the BBC do at Wimbledon.
They've only acquired the rights for it this year so have to show a lot of it - wonder how much they'll be showing live in a couple of years time?
I love the sports multiscreen on BBC red button. You can watch any match you like. ITV dont have that so they are utilizing several channels. I did get tennis fatigue after watching Djokovitch and Federer so switched off after that. There must be sports fans who cannot get enough. How many channels do you think the BBC are using to show the Olympics? Its 24. The IOC demands that they show all sports. This is what digital broadcasting is all about. I have to admit at normal times I usually only watch the 4 terrestial channels.
I agree with you mosaic, I always record anything on commercial tv that I'm interested in and can watch later without all the adverts and tv trailers. Much better. Haven't seen an advert in ages!
