3D Blu Ray Player-does it matter if 3D TV is active or passive?

I have purchased a new 3D TV which uses the passive 3D Glasses. I would now like to buy a 3D Blu Ray Player, but I don't know if you also have active and passive 3D Blu Ray Players. I have looked at many players on various sites and cannot see any mention of active or passive, so I am assuming it does not matter what model I buy?

Any advice would me most appreciated.

Blu-Ray 3D comes in one flavour. Passive or Active ONLY refers to the display 3D technology and is not a criteria for the player.

That's right, it's only the display that comes in "active" or "passive" varieties.
