Stupid Dev in Corrie - SPOILER ALERT
Isn't he a drip? Would he just take Sunita's affair so calmly ............ is it the storyline or just wooden acting?

Why call and ambulance? She is only in labour. And as if you would give birth that quickly - such an unrealistic way to promote this story of teen mum
As for Corrie? Well, actually, I believe Dev would do anything to keep Sunita. However, again, unrealistic reaction from Dev. Even if he had been forgiving eventually, he would certainly have been very angry to start with.
And where do they hide their kids in these soaps? They are never there LOL

I have posted this before, but Dev's acting was much better when he was playing a serious businessman. Now they have tried to turn him into a comedy character he comes across as ridiculous and yes wooden. Some actors seem to have a gift for both comedy and seriousness when needed, but others really need to stick with a certain type and not have the writers try to turn them into something else.
I wish the writers would not have an about turn so quickly. They ran a long storyline on Dev and Sunita getting back together, now they are splitting them up. Also it seems to be out of character for Sunita to behave in this way.
But why are we talking about Dev being wooden when to me the worst actor to date has been Ken? His lack of emotion shown during the Peter and Simon issues has been absurd. The only thing he has managed to do is to pull a concerned face each time some new revelation has come to light! This is fine for lighter storylines, but he seems to be unable to handle anything calling for more expressive acting!

Sue11. I like reading your posts, thy are usually spot on ( just read your one on the bloke who got voted off Superstar) I don't watch that so didnt comment, but your reasoning or him being portrayed as a diva, hence people voting cos they don't like him made complete sense, regarding this post and Kens 'one dimentional' acting face is true too! It's hand on chin, head on one side, false concerned expression!
I agree, some can't do comedy (Gail !!!! CRINGE) and should stick to what they are good at! I think Sean can master both on more than one occasion

i was hoping Sunita was going to be pregnant, so she could try explaining away a white baby ...
Dev is not watchable! haven't liked him since the aunties came to stay!
when she came 'back in' Sunita was engaged to a goodlooking bloke and had a lovely house! SERIOUSLY, who would give that up for a terrace and job behind the counter with Dev?
*knows it isn't real*

Hello can I just remind some of you the title of this thread is
''Stupid Dev in Corrie'' What the B H has East Enders got to do with that ?
Anyway I don't think Dev is behaving stupidly, anyone who watched it properly would have come to the same conclusion as me that he realised in his mind he had driven her into the arms of another man by his own stupid behaviour, leaving Sunita alone so much whilst he followed his selfish pattern of playing golf so much & trying to get his son to follow his footsteps. After all marriage is not a one way street, so he is trying every which way to save the marriage, & I know it's all make believe but one has to try & make acting look believable.

Gosh, not read any of the other posts but saw Corrie and dev in the same sentence. I never watch Corrie but have two or three times over the past week and the one thing that stuck out was what an appalling actor he is. I felt like I getting in my car and driving to the set to give him an inhaler. He's all jumpy and fast and so unnatural. Not like any of the eastenders cast ;)
