Do you believe this to be true or is it b.s?

When one opportunity misses us surely like the buses and trains there's one not too far behind it?

Maybe to pessimistic people the wait's forever for another opportunity to come by and with optimistic people the wait's the same but it's just that optimistic people get on with enjoying their lives whilst pessimistic people dwell and kick themselves?

Looks like i'm straying onto a similar yet different subject so lets get back to the op.

"Opportunity seldom knocks twice" What are your thoughts on this?

It knocks more than once but unfortunately some of us are hard of hearing and miss the early one.

There are certainly opportunities which only knock once. That person you met once and thought about afterwards but didn't get a contact. Similar ones may come up but only rarely do we meet most of the exact same people again.

Opportunities come by us all every day. Most of them are tiny seedlings. What really counts is how well we feed them and you will find that most people who got somewhere did so by nurturing their idea even when it meant sacrificing other things.

That to me is more the important factor in success than the number of opportunities we attract in our lives.
Some people are lucky, some aren't.
Sometimes if you miss the first opportunity, you weren't meant to get it, and the next one's got your name on it.

It's a variation of the "glass half full, or glass half empty" - and to mix my metaphors, there's no point in crying over spilt milk.
