Do any of you hark back to tv programmes of yesteryear. I used to love
That's life. I especially used to like the 'Get Britian singing' slot when they
used to dress up and leap out on unsuspecting customers. What tv
programme hold special memories for you?
That's Life was the successor to the Braden Week and latterly On the Braden Beat. I'm probably the only man left alive who can remember Bernard Braden and his wife, Barbara Kelley, a regular on What's My Line, along with Isobel barnett.
I loved "What's my Line", "Candid Camera" (laughed like drains at it) and Les Dawson in "Blankety Blank" ,,,,oh and loads others which will come to me soon!
Do any of you remember Dustin Gee [I think that's how you spell it] He was
Les Dennis's comic partner. They were quite funny in their day. Sadly Dustin
Gee died quite young.
From the same era came "20 Questions" on radio, hosted by Franklin Engelmann with the regular panel of Anona Wynn, Joy Adamson, Norman Hackforth and Peter Glaze. And the next object is..? We used to make up dirty answers to that, not fit for publication on this site.
