Told Ian she had to sell Bobby's games to buy food - er remind me again exactly what businesses she runs? The copper who told Ben he was going to be charged - surely he didn't give him the correct 'caution'?

That was absolutely ridiculous how Lucy had that man come to the house with papers for Ian to sign. He isn't of sound mind at the moment and that's just for starters, ridiculous!!

Well they arrested him with murder, read him his rights, and charged him.

They didn't read the right caution, there was a bit missing in the middle about it being put in writing.
This whole Ian Beale/Lucy thing is really annoying me. Firstly, as if a girl that age would be able to control the businesses and Ian's lack of finances.

Also, Ian Beale needed serious help with his mental health when he came back. You wouldn't let somebody act like that without seeking some sort of medical help for the poor bloke.

I didn't see the programme but the wording used in England and Wales is ""You do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
They have to condense everything into 30 minute slots. I'm sure they could make it more realistic but then how boring would those 30 minutes be if we had to watch the step by step process of someone being charged with murder.

As for Ian, I do agree that it just wouldn't happen but it's the same again. Do we really want to watch months of boring legalities and reports as someone is deemed to be sound of mind enough to make that decision? I don't.

stupid story lines at times, but i love E/E --only soap I ever watch.
Its quite gripping at the moment lol

It it what it is....a soap. Not a documentary, so what if they get a few things incorrect. I mean, what do you want? Drivvel or documentaries, they're all available online, you know. ;)
