Are there any Eddie Stobart saddos out there like me? i have been a Stobart spotter for about three years, great fun met some nice folk, i am about number 745 on the spotters list with about 900 spots but some of those are double or treble spots. Have a go if you like i am up for any ribbing.

I have an agreement with a friend. If we are both still single at 35 we will marry each other. The name of our first born is to be named after the Eddie Stobart truck that went past him as we made our arrangement. Lucy something. I should have paid more attention.

Is it true that ES drivers have a rule that says if you wave at one they have to wave back at your or have I just made that up in my head?

Can't call myself a fan, but I always take note of their lorries whenever I see one. I always try to read the girls names painted on them - don't ask me why. And why no male names, or are all lorries female?

I also like the way their lorries are kept so clean, don't think I've ever seen a dirty Eddie Stobart lorry.

Each of the lorries has a female name, i am in the Stobart spotters club you enter the spot (name) on the site, the more spots you make the farther up the league you go, there are 2 people from my town in the top ten just wondering if any on AB.

we sometimes pull in to the truck stop up near Carnforth and they are lined up there , it's quite impressive. they're building a new distribution depot up near there next to the m6 junction i believe

The ES Trucks and Trailers show has just finished last week on channel 5 but they do tend to repeat, them try and catch one it will give you a good insight into the company. The drivers are very friendly i have met a few in service stations they will always have a chat and pose for photo's

I wonder what it is about the Eddie Stobart fleet that people find so fascinating? I must admit that I do like the way that the trucks all have their own names. But what's Eddie Stobart got that Norbert Dentressangle hasn't, magicmick?

Carnforth J35 North bound, turn left off the M6 go down to the roundabout, turn left again & left at the next roundabout, the Truck stop is on your left.

the new depot is up near the motorway to the west above the actual junction as far as i recall

A few years ago, E.S. was taking work off N. D. by cutting the rates, N. came over to E.S. yard at Carlisle, went to Eddies office & threatened to bring his fleet over from Europe & run Stobarts work for nothing that put our Eddie in his place, ask the drivers / hauliers in Scotland what they think about our Eddie. the last letter finishes with T.

Mrs McM and I used to do Eddie spotting on long road journeys by claiming a point for each first sighting. Gave up this very sad activity some years ago when on a walk in the country along a remote path Mrs McM claimed an 'Eddie' when we crested a hill and there was one of their trucks on a farm track miles from any main roads.
