I used to really fancy her but I can't equate a gold medal athlete with the painfully shy dancer we see on strictly. Maybe the dedication it takes to be a gold medalist has robber her of a few interpersonal skills.

Lisa Riley is the surprise of the show for me. So enthusiastic and she puts her all in to it - and obviously enjoys the whole thing. I want her to marry Robin and have a whole troupe of dancing babies.

Did you read Victoria's story in the Mail? Apparently she had an abusive (not sexual) father who was a keen cyclist. She took up cycling to get his approval and actually used to self harm (cut) when the stress got too much for her.
She may be a gold medal athlete but i think she's a fairly frail character.

woofgang - no, don't get The Mail but isn't it strange that she can be so positive, dedicated and tough to be an Olympic athlete - but come across as wimpish in Strictly?

perhaps woofgang - she has a terrific talent but imo, little personality. It will be interesting t see how the series pans out.
