Interesting ex. Like I said, I never professed to be an expert on UFO/Space 1999 and hadn't heard of the use of the 2nd series UFO sets etc, though of course this makes economic sense. Sounds a bit like Lew Grade was sticking his oar in again, like when he told GA to make Thunderbirds a 60 minute show after they had already shot several 30 min episodes. This meant a lot of re writing to expand the story. Thanks for the article.
