Changing Email Id On The Apple Account
I recently had to cancel my main email address and I went online to change it on my Apple account. Unbelievably, it took two weeks, around forty emails and about three hours of telephone conversations between Kentucky and London to finally get it sorted on my three appliances (iPhone, iPad and Laptop). The staff at Apple were brilliant but they were hamstrung by Apple's protocol. The main problem was that I wanted to replace the main email with what was previously my 'rescue' email address' and the site would not accept it because it had been used as the 'rescue' email. I gave a another email address but the saga went on and on and I was assisted by three very helpful staff members who came up with various solutions which still left me with continually getting a password request on my iPhone (cropping up from time to time) quoting my cancelled email address as my ID and asking for a password. The charming lady in Kentucky finally came up with the solution and I just wondered if any other ABer's had experienced a similar problem, in which case I might be able to point them in the right direction.
