Elementary.
Is anyone else watching Elementary, the American version of Sherlock Holmes in the present day transplanted to New York? If so,what are your thoughts.
Mine are mixed.I like Jonny Lee Miller's performance, and the stories are quite good, but I find it jarring every time he is introduced as Sherlock Holmes or they use a piece of the Holmes canon in an episode.
I think for me this is not Sherlock Holmes but another in the line of police and consultant with a twist dramas like Monk of The Mentalist.

Not as good as the British version but I suppose that's simply because they are making so many( bound to mean varying standards) as opposed to the 3-a-series in the Brit one. Johnny lee miller is the best I've seen him and Lucy Lui is nicely understated as Joan Watson. I too look forward to the next series :)
I really like it and think it is as good as the British version in its own way and pleased to hear there will be another series. I think Jonny Lee Miller makes a very good Holmes and although I wasn't sure about Watson being a woman to start with, Lucy lui has won me over and I really like the fact that Watson is a women too.
