Is Itv4 Hd Free

I cancelled my HD package with Sky but I now don't have ITV4HD, I thought it was only Sky HD I would lose, is this right.

ITV4 HD isn't there because ITV is trying to move away from depending upon advertising for its funding (because, with the increase of advertising through social media sites and a faltering economy, many companies no longer see TV advertising as commercially viable). It's therefore seeking revenue through deals with subscription TV services, such as Sky and Virgin:

Just wondering what the attraction to ITV 4 in HD is, given that most of their stuff is from a pre HD era. Seems a waste of channel.
