The swines. How very dare they? I can't wait past 9pm so I'll be watching Happy Valley first. How about you?

No contest, Happy Valley by a first round knock-out!

Looks like no contest then even though I think tonight is the night of Tina's demise. Bad move by ITV to put Corrie up against Happy Valley, which, in my opinion, is far and away the best thing on TV at present by a million miles.
LB, so it is.
'happy valley' is a brilliant piece of work which makes me ask why can't tv companies do it more often?
because they would rather fill the schedules with crap, they would say its because they can't afford it, i don't buy that at all,
the BBC used to put out excellent dramas, plays and very good series, serials, now its a rare event

Funny thing is I don't particularly go for crime dramas and only started watching it because it was written by Sally Wainwright who wrote Last Tango in Halifax and At Home with the Braithwaites. But like others on here, I'm riveted.
Yep, Corrie can definitely wait.
Happy Valley finishes at 10:00PM and Corrie on ITV+1 starts at 10:00PM - Problem solved if you can receive ITV+1.

If I have conflicting programme times, I always record the one with ads...so I can fast-forward them!

Corrie, all the time for me. Why not record one and watch the other?
I'm going to miss both of them. It's not so often I go out, but tonight I'm going to watch Gareth Malone and his new choir. So the record button will he set for both of them then I shall watch them tomorrow. Actually I might watch happy valley tonight when I get home, I can't wait to find out what happened.
Lucky you Lynda, I love Gareth Malone.
Happy valley first. Huge corrie fan but against that, no chance.

Be interested to know the audience size of both programmes if anybody gets to find out, for tonight I mean.
Just finished watching it, glad it wasn't as violent as last weeks episode. Still very gripping though.
Had I known that it was written by Sally Wainwright I would have watched this series as I loved her other 2.
TV off, recorded them both, will watch tomorrow'ish. Quiet glass of wine for me after the rubbish on Britains got Talent (talent????).
