I was pleasantly surprised to observe in Saturday19th episode of Insp. Montalbano that there was a full length portrait of King Umberto I in the office of the Chief of Police; similarly there was a full length portrait of King Ludwig II of Bavaria in a company boardroom in the TV series Heimat.
Nostalgia.
