I thought he was quite good, although the plot was a bit bad.

Wonderful. Not as good as the David Tennant's Doc but Mr C is excellent. David Tennant's doc was a very hard act to follow and Matt Smith just didn't do it for me.

I think it's great that he'd take a part in a programme for kids and ^you lot^ should know better.

We mustn't forget that Doctor Who is a childrens program. It frightened the hell out of me in the early 60's but it just seems daft now.

Peter Capaldi was better than I thought he would be, but like matt i think the first few episodes he's going to 'over kill' the character then settle down. however the story line for the first episode was dire,bringing back the same story line idea as the older episode madame de pompadour, they should have at least had a new 'monster' or some other concept -or started with a bang with the Daleks. I think I'll warm to peter Capalsi as the doctor, but watching older episodes I think for me christopher eccleston nailed the character

Why should it matter? Adults can enjoy children's books and shows and children can enjoy adults' books etc.

Didn't think much of the way Peter Capaldi was portraying the new Dr. Who, the story was silly and that lesbian kiss was absolutely un-necessary.
