The SCD launch show was very good Tess and Claudia did a great job so far not as much messing about as before hope it continues, the pairings will be some fun when they start dancing!

Caribe ing - I reckon Aliaz has more than double what he had last year - more like treble if you get my drift!

I enjoyed it although I was shocked to see Smokey Robinson looking so unlike his old self.
BBC still not brave enough to pair Scott Mills with Anton Du Beke......
Question Author
Yes Smokey has been doing the rounds lately I think he needs a rest!
It was somewhat spun out, but it wasn't too bad at all.

I think everyone was waiting to see who got the large lady - and a ticket straight out of the show, once the 'novelty' wears off.
I was watching and enjoying it, and when Brucie and the two girls had linked arms and said something like here are the dancer or couples, I nipped out to make a coffee, where did Brucie go, I know he's retired, but he just wasn't there!
That was it neti, a brief hello and goodbye. I don't suppose he'll reappear until the Children in Need thing.
I thought Aliona's face was a picture when she was paired with Greg Wallace- will he ever stop gurning long enough to dance
He is returning for a Children In Need Special in November, and again for the Christmas Show.
Poor Aliona!

I avoid cookery shows, mainly because they are populated by people like him!
thanks, but did he just slide off into the shadows?
I'm glad Bruce isn't on any more. I might be able to watch it now. I hope Judy Murray wins.
I feel sorry for Anton, he always seems to get the lost causes, although Fiona Fullerton wasn't so bad. If I was Mrs Murrey I'd wonder if they thought I was bad. PS I love Anton and would love him as a partner.

Aliona's face was a picture when she got Gregg, I don't think Christina was over impressed with her partner Simon although I think they will do well, don't think Aliaz will be doing the double this year!
I've not watched it since John Sargeant declared himself out of the competition.

In fact the choice of weekend prime time viewing on both major TV channels is so appalling that I'm now able to catch up on other things.

I think Anton gets an "early leaver" for two reasons. He's terrific at ballroom but not going to manage the athletic stuff as well as the young guns. He's also doing a Christmas show at the Albert hall with Erin Boag so if he stayed in Strictly as well, it would get pretty busy for him later on.
I do like Anton though, such a gentleman!
I like Anton too...Neti, why so worried about Bruce disappearing? Did you want to see him carried off in a sedan chair? :)
Question Author
Yes Anton seems to be a very nice person, Esther Rantzen who partnered him on previous series say he was a perfect gentleman and a delight to work with, I though Judy Murray looked embarrassed when dancing!
Yes I thought she looked awkward. Less physically assured than you would expect from an athlete.
Wonderful to see Frankie Bridge!

Someone told me she spoke!

I could see her lips moving, but i could only hear a rushing sound in my ears, and then everything went black, and when I woke up, I had dribbled all down my shirt, and the present Mrs Hughes was yelling at me again!
