Canned Laughter Do You Mind It.
11 Answers
Canned laughter used mainly in Sitcoms I can ignore most of the time ,the one I can't bare is the Clapping and cheering on the X Factor ,clapping and cheering whilst the performer is struggling to stay in tune ,I cannot imagine that the cheering etc goes on live,I would imagine the laughter /cheering and clapping are added on once the show has been cut into the correct timing slots and if you listen it is mostly the same cheering, clapping track that is played all the way through the track.
In a Mo, add laughing and clapping in your own time please .

But when I fist went to America, in 1978, I saw Mash on the TV there and it contained canned laughter, which completely spoilt it for me. My American friends couldn't see anything wrong with, as all their programs always had this false laughter. But I still hate it.
I you listen to X Factor for example The cheering when an act reaches a certain part of a song is so false and I would suggest is taped otherwise why would an audience rise up each time, with applause and cheering, this is the type of applause given when a Star act sings a hit song that the audience recognizes, not when some wannabe manages to reach the end of the first line,
