I am left wondering why on the latest series of More 4's Car SOS they are giving the speed of whatever car they're working on in KMH. No mention of MPH. As an Englishman, living in the UK all my life, I don't see road signs in KMH, nor does my car or any of my motorbikes have KMH as their main readout.
One thought that struck me is they are doing it because the program is sold overseas, but surely, it's not too much to ask for a UK made program to cater for its home market viewers?
Don't you just love this crazy country...we are (partially) metricated and love to confuse ourselves by insisting on using two sets of units! BBC weather forecasts, for example...temperatures in C and F, rainfall in mm and inches...but wind speed only ever in mph.
