The Missing
Spoiler Alert!
Who was the man whose throat was cut on the railway station 8 years ago? Just when I though I was getting the hang of it! Also, is there, yet, any connection between the case and the man at the hospice?

I was of the mind that the gang were smuggling the child at first but that seemed to be a bit of misdirection when the raid on the farmhouse was fruitless, this was probably so that the gang could find out who the mole was. Then killed him.
As for the chap at the hospice, I've no idea what he's got to do with anything, he's a friend of the wife's that got a kicking for crossing the line by the sounds of it.
I don't like Ken Stott being a probable pervert.

I'm totally and utterly lost with this programme, I thought the man with his throat slit at the station was the known paedophile who last week went to the doctor for drug treatment that would 'cure' him of all sexual desire.
I tool my eye off the screen right at the end so have no idea what time period or what was being looked at when the boy appeared to be on form looking out of a window..
It's a shame it's so complex, I think the majority of viewers are finding it all too much effort to try and follow.

rocky is right in that he was an undercover cop but i don't know his relevance to the rest of the story yet.
The window, the neighbours opposite the house where the boy was held 8 years ago had a video of people arriving at their party which showed the window of the house opposite. they were looking at it in present time (I think!)

Thank you everyone, I've started to enjoy it but I had to watch episode 2 last night before I watched 3! I work on the principle that with 8 episodes, there'll be a lot of red herrings. There's something odd about the retired detective and in his past I think. The Ken Stott character is interesting especially as he fabricated the alibi for Vincent, who seems innocent anyway.
Which boy do you mean trt? The missing boy, those are his real parents but it seems when we move to the present they are divorced and she is with a man and his son of similar age that they chased after in the first episode mistakenly thinking it was their son, the dad is some kind of policeman/official/liaison sent out to help on the case originally.. She seems very fond of her stepson, presumably because of their similar ages.
Or am I wrong or even more confusing?
