but is there such a thing as a victimless crime?
Ive recently competed an 18 month probation order and as part of that order I had to "address" the fact that there was no such thing as a victimless crime.
Rubbish. Of course most crimes have victims, but what about someone who grows a couple of cannabis plants for his own use? Wheres the victim? Not so long ago homosexuality was illegal, where was the victim there between 2 consenting adults?
Why does the law seek to criminalise what people do in there own homes
(in this case grow a herb for their own use and have sex the way they want)?
As I said in my thread below, just a bit philosophical at the mo)

the poor plant is a victim, not allowed to grow in its own way because you are harvesting it....

I suppose those who would try to convince that there is always a victim would in your first example question where the seeds or cuttings came from - then tell you that person/source is likely dealing in harder drugs that do have victims.

A certain Oxford Uni professor was known for getting off topic during lectures. His favourite off-topic subject was "the evils of marijuana".

I saw something recently where they were talking about what the banks have been and continue to do that could be called illegal but no one is prosecuted!

The only victims are the people who are nabbed for breaking Draconian laws.They're laughable at times not laudible.
