I think the depression is being portrayed realistically, well done to the researchers, writers and Simon Gregson.

Steve's family have asked him several times if he is depressed and Steve has denied it.

Sometimes those closest to a person suffering depression can't see what's under their noses, i think he's acting a great part and portraying it well. I know a person spent 3 years in a psych ward before their family ever knew there was a problem

I must disagree with dive re Gregson. I think he is brill, he has got acting gormless off to a T. Not many child actors make it to the adult world.

It's hard to tell when someone is depressed unless they are in bed all day doing nothing. He's buying cars and racing all over the place, I think a smack on his botty would do him the world of good, he seems more confused than depressed.
